Humanity's expansion into space began in the Space Era, but by the 21st century, two meteor impacts caused global disruption. A third meteor, landing in the Marquesas Islands in 197 SE, contained advanced technology known as Extra-Over Technology, or EOT. The Earth Federal Government, through the EOTI Institute, uncovered evidence that the EOT's creators were approaching Earth, potentially to reclaim or conquer the planet. To counter this threat, the government initiated the development of humanoid mecha units called Personal Troopers for defense.
