In 2050, Earth faces a severe energy crisis. A scientist in Trinity City creates Trinity energy, a powerful new energy source capable of meeting global demand. The alien Elda empire discovers this development and launch a military campaign to take control of it. They invade and capture Earth's space colony on the moon Io. Trinity energy has also been used to power three large robots that can merge into the powerful God Sigma. Piloted by Dantou Shiya, a former martial artist, the robot wields a strong sword and confronts the Elda forces to protect Earth's future.
