Thorkell reaches Gloucester, but learns that the English nobles are tired of war and are ready to accept Danish rule. Some English troops find Askeladd's group, and his men begin to think his good luck has run out. Askeladd orders Bjorn to kill Prince Canute's guardian, Ragnar, blaming it on a skirmish with the English and hoping that the prince will become a leader whom he can follow. (Source: Wikipedia)
