Youkai Ningen Bem (2006)

Three youkai named Bem, Bera, and Barro arrive in a major coastal city and sense an evil presence caused by human immorality and the mischief of other monsters and youkai. They choose to remain in the city, battling hostile creatures that threaten humans and forming a few friendships along the way. Despite frequent mistreatment from people because of their appearances, the three continue to defend the human residents. Their goal is to eventually become human themselves as a reward for their good deeds.
