Chisato and Reiko have been close friends for fifteen years, despite their differing interests and personalities. Both develop feelings for Keisuke Sugimoto, a fellow member of Chisato’s music club. When Keisuke confesses his affection to Chisato, her immediate concern is for Reiko’s reaction.
