Tachibana Izumi arrives at the Mankai Company Theatre in search of her missing father, who once directed there. She discovers the theatre is in financial trouble, with only one actor and no notable achievements. Determined to revive the theater her father cherished, Izumi takes on the role of director and begins reorganizing the four troupes: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter. The manga focuses on her efforts with the first group, the Spring Troupe.
