A boy named Shoddy, unable to carry a tune, is expelled from the Children's Choir. Unexpectedly, he is accepted by Mister Demon, who trains him in singing. However, there is a complication—Shoddy's music has the power to harm demons. Despite this conflict, the two form a bond, and their cheerful voices echo each night from the remains of a deserted church.
