A boy named Sakamoto Akizuki is often feared at school due to his intimidating appearance. One night, he sees a girl die and is approached by a mysterious figure offering him a choice: he can sacrifice half his life to bring her back. He agrees, and she is revived. The story then follows the romantic comedy that develops between Akizuki and the girl named Yumesaki.
