Bat-kun

Nagai, also known as Bat-kun, is a junior high student who joins the baseball team as a substitute and strives to earn a regular spot. The manga is recognized as the first baseball-themed series in Japan. Originally discontinued after the author's death in May 1949, with the final chapter appearing in March 1949, the story was later completed by Eiichi Fukui.
