On a spring day with cherry blossoms at their peak, So-Seol gathers the courage to confess the feelings he has carried for Hong-An. The reply he gets is not the one he hoped for: Hong-An sets the family home alight and vanishes, leaving him alone in the aftermath. Seven years of wandering in search of him eventually lead So-Seol to Yeo-An, a man identical to Hong-An in his breath, his smile and even the way he walks, with only the colour of his eyes setting him apart. Convinced he is staring at the same person under a new name, So-Seol presses for the truth while Yeo-An refuses to give the answer he wants, leaving the question of identity, guilt and the original confession suspended between them. The piece is the eighth story in the Sachungi: Neoreul Saenggakaneun Bom collection and includes an additional bonus chapter.
