Kazuki, a university student from Tokyo, goes home for spring break and decides not to return. Her parents initially welcomed her visit, but they are concerned when she stays beyond a few days. Eventually, she tells them she has left school. Lacking any clear goals or ambitions, Kazuki spends her time idly at home, living the life of a "bonkura musume."
