Azuma and Takayama were childhood friends until Takayama suddenly left for the United States without saying goodbye. After many years, Takayama returns and enrolls at Azuma's school. He hopes to reconnect, but Azuma is now distant and uninterested in resuming their friendship. Despite Azuma's cold behavior, Takayama remains cheerful and friendly with others. Azuma, however, appears detached and indifferent to those around him.
