Taichi participates in a V-Pet tournament but is initially barred from competing because the Digimon in his V-Pet is not recognized as authentic. After the tournament concludes, he challenges the winner, Neo Saiba, and their match ends in a draw, an outcome considered impossible. Following this, Taichi is called to the Digital World by a Digimon named Lord HolyAngemon, where he encounters the Digimon from his V-Pet, Zeromaru, who is identified as Veedramon.
