Double Marriage

In a future Japan where bigamy is legally permitted, individuals can marry two spouses, raising questions about the nature of long-term relationships and societal acceptance. A married man named Ikuta Naosuke encounters Itou Yuko, a former classmate who has developed feelings for him. Now a nurse, Yuko and Naosuke begin an affair. With the new law allowing double marriage, Naosuke considers marrying Yuko as well. However, he faces the dilemma of how this might affect his first wife. He also worries about Yuko potentially choosing another partner. As Naosuke and those around him adapt to the new legal framework, they confront the complex and unpredictable challenges it brings.
