Urban expansion in Japan has displaced many native spirits and ghosts, leading to disturbances from these homeless entities. In response, a new profession emerged: Ghost Sweepers, private exorcists who work for the highest bidder in a competitive market. The Mikami GS Company, led by Reiko Mikami alongside her assistants Tadao Yokoshima, a teenage boy, and Okinu, a ghost, is considered among the best in the field. The first one-shot, *Gokuraku Mouja*, features the team dealing with a haunted mansion.
