A high school freshman, Soma Mitsuya, resents his mother's strict control and focuses on playing the violin and visiting his grandfather in the hospital. When his grandfather's health takes a turn for the worse, an earthquake occurs, causing Mitsuya to be transported back in time to 1921 during the Taisho period.
