Kwenser arrives at an Alaskan military base to research Objects, advanced weapons that have transformed modern warfare by allowing soldiers to fight from a distance. He becomes interested in Milinda, an Object pilot, and begins to uncover unsettling realities about the nature of these machines and their impact on those who use them.
