Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Onisarashi-hen

Natsumi and her family have lived outside Onigafuchi for nearly a year, and she has grown fond of her new life, making friends and adjusting to school. Her grandmother, originally from Hinamizawa, worries they have been cursed for leaving the mountains behind. A catastrophic gas explosion destroys the village, killing all its residents, which the grandmother attributes to the anger of the village deity, Oyashiro-sama. While the family has long dismissed her beliefs, her increasing devotion to the god has become unsettling. Her once private faith has turned into something more intense and concerning.
