Ren, a school public-health doctor, is nicknamed "small pet" by students. One day, he stumbles upon two students in the schoolyard engaged in an inappropriate act. One of them is Midori, a charismatic model Ren admires. Midori places an object into Ren's hands and later confesses her feelings for him. Offended by what he sees as a casual use of the word "like," Ren punches her. The next day, Midori begins pursuing him with increasing persistence.
