Jeongnyeoni

Jeong-Nyeon is a young woman from Mokpo with no formal education or financial means but possesses a gift for singing. She aspires to join a female traditional theater troupe and become a successful performer. However, she faces many challenges and has much to learn before she can reach her goal of becoming a leading actor. The narrative unfolds in 1956 in Mokpo, a port city in post-war Korea, as she works toward her dream of fame and financial stability.
