Kanikousen

A manga adaptation of Kobayashi Takiji’s novel, it depicts life aboard a Japanese crab fishing ship named Kanikosen, which includes a cannery. The crew works in poor conditions for minimal pay. Tensions rise under the strict rule of the ship’s Superintendent. One worker, Shinjo, encourages others to resist and initiate a revolt on the vessel.
