Jiro seems like an ordinary teenager, struggling with self-doubt, difficulty connecting with others, and an unused guitar. In reality, he is Kikaider, an android equipped with a "Gemini" device in his brain designed to mimic human traits. Professor Gill, a former colleague of Kikaider’s creator, is pursuing the Gemini device and will stop at nothing to retrieve it.
