Komiyama ga Kirai da

Kakeru Komiyama, a fifth-grader, is neither particularly good nor bad at academics or sports. His classmate, Eina Komiyama, is highly accomplished in every area. Kakeru once sees her show a moment of vulnerability and becomes worried. Eina then transfers schools without explanation, and Kakeru grows up to be an unremarkable high school student. He later meets Eina again, now with a different last name but otherwise unchanged. A complicated relationship between the two childhood acquaintances begins.
