Kiyosumi Hamada, a student preparing for university entrance exams, sees a first-year girl being bullied during a school assembly and steps in to help. Instead of gratitude, he is met with a scream from the girl he rescued, Hari Kuramoto. Confused by her reaction, Kiyosumi becomes involved in uncovering the reason behind her response and the identity of the "two dead people" mentioned. As he investigates, he gradually learns the truth behind the incident and the real nature of Hari.
