Felix, who enjoys watching people and objects on the subway, resumes painting after a two-year hiatus. His roommate Harry is an odd but brilliant individual, and although Felix finds their exchanges strange, he is unaware that Harry is closely observing him. Around the same time, Felix's creative block disappears.
