Yuko Yoshida, a fifteen-year-old girl, begins to live as a demon after growing horns and a tail. Her mother reveals she is Shadow Mistress Yuko, a demon cursed to keep her family in poverty. To end this curse, Yuko must defeat Chiyoda Momo, a magical girl at her school. Momo is not only stronger and more skilled with magic but also kind, often helping Yuko. Yuko struggles to confront Momo, as she lacks the strength and skill for direct conflict. However, forming a friendship with Momo is also impossible due to her mission. Yuko must find a way to break the curse without direct confrontation.
