A high school student who deeply values righteousness and swords is fatally wounded during a break-in. At the moment of his death, he is given the chance to continue living under new circumstances. Holding one of his cherished swords, he accepts and is transported to a different world. His only belongings are a sword that killed him and a sentient sword named Hotarumaru. He is assigned the title of "Cursed Sword Master," allowing him to awaken the personalities of swords.
