Manshuu Ahen Squad

A soldier from the Kanto Army, Isamu Hinata, arrives in Manchuria in 1937 and loses his right eye during combat. Labeled unfit for further military service, he is transferred to an agricultural unit tasked with growing food for the army, where he faces constant mistreatment. While working on the farm, he finds poppies being grown in a secluded area. Seeking to treat his ill mother, he begins processing the crop into opium. His involvement in this illicit activity triggers a chain of events that alters his future and has broader consequences for Manchuria.
