Märchen Mädchen

Hazuki Kagimura is a girl who often keeps to herself and struggles with her new family. To cope, she turns to books and stories. One afternoon, a library shelf transports her to a magical school where she meets Shizuka Tsuchimikado. At the school, girls known as "mädchen" are selected by classic fairy tales and folktales to use magic, which they learn to control there. Students include those chosen by stories like Kaguya-hime no Monogatari, Issun-bōshi, Der Freischütz, Shuten-dōji, The Little Matchstick Girl, The Gigantic Turnip, Arthurian legends, and The Ramayana. Hazuki is selected by the Cinderella story. She starts training as a magic user and tries to build a friendship with Shizuka.
