Two girls, Alice and Ruka, arrive at a girls-only boarding school for its opening ceremony. They notice a sharp decline in the number of students in each higher grade. The ceremony ends with the student council president killing a girl for wearing an improperly long skirt, her head shattering into sweets. The day continues with unsettling events, including broken friendships, unexpected alliances, and Alice acquiring a strange chainsaw called "Ibara-hime." The story follows the challenges Alice faces in adapting to this dangerous new school environment.
