A surge in crimes committed by technologically enhanced individuals known as "Kaijin" has occurred in Tokyo. Shibasaki Ken and Momoyama Reiji are tasked with investigating a string of murders. Shibasaki specializes in tracking, while Reiji excels in combat, making them a functional team in certain respects. However, their personal differences create tension. Shibasaki often prioritizes socializing over work, whereas Reiji is overly intense in his professional duties. The question remains whether they can overcome their conflicting attitudes and collaborate effectively to stop the killings before more victims are lost.
