Nee, Sensei?

A teacher becomes involved with a student named Homura, whose older sister, Kaori, was his first girlfriend. During their relationship, the teacher often avoided emotional situations by using Homura as an excuse and struggled to connect with Kaori. Years later, the teacher discovers a note on one of Homura’s exam papers that reads, "I like you, sensei," prompting questions about how he will respond. A separate side story follows two childhood friends who reunite after 14 years; one has become a police officer, while the other, once a delinquent, now works at a ramen shop.
