Neko Kappa

A quiet feline demon moves through human society, encountering beings that are as monstrous as they are pitiable. Drawing on elements of Japanese folklore and surreal imagery, the work presents a series of brief narratives that highlight the artist's visual precision. Employing dark humor, jaded perspectives, or dreamlike sequences, the stories are depicted with a bold, stark line style. Several entries are reworkings from an earlier series.
