Chikage Kurokawa remains a shy and isolated student a year into high school. To overcome her loneliness, she attempts to connect with others through humor. Partnering with Makoto Fujisawa, another student who is not well-liked, she forms a team focused on spreading laughter. Their goal is to help her break free from her solitary lifestyle.
