Ooi! Tonbo

A young girl named Tonbo Ooi was raised by her grandfather, a fisherman, after her parents died in a car accident. Living on Kagoshima in the Tokara Islands, she plays golf using her father's No. 3 iron on three locally built courses. The narrative starts with Igarashi, a former professional golfer who has retired from the sport, traveling to the remote Tokara Islands seeking employment. His meeting with Tonbo significantly alters the course of his life.
