A manga created by Fujio Akatsuka, it features six siblings—Osomatsu, Karamatsu, Choromatsu, Ichimatsu, Jyushimatsu, and Todomatsu—along with supporting characters like Chibita, Iyami, and Hatabou. The series, serialized in Shounen Sunday and other publications, showcases comedic moments and emotional interactions among the characters. It contributed to Akatsuka's recognition as a gag comic artist prior to his work on Tensai Bakabon. The manga includes adaptations of Charlie Chaplin film routines and was published in various Shounen Sunday special issues. It received the 10th Shogakukan Manga Award in 1964.
