Five female employees of a local tourism office in a small town take part in a revived "micro-nation" initiative. This program, inspired by a national trend from Japan's bubble economy era, appoints them as "monarchs" to serve as promotional figures. The series documents their experiences and personal development over the course of a year in the tourism sector.
