Hayase attends a school with long-standing traditions, one of which is to avoid physical contact on Mondays. If someone breaks this rule, a specific chant must be performed to prevent an unusual consequence. This rule originated from a past incident in which two girls touched on a Monday, fell in love, and attempted to take their own lives. Mashiro, a new student, is unaware of the rule and touches Hayase on a Monday. After the fact, Hayase explains the potential danger, having already broken the rule herself. The story includes three additional segments and a one-shot titled "Hakase no Koneko to Ame no Asa."
