Senpuu Z

A Japanese scientist named Dr. Takagun is renowned for his globally influential inventions. Dr. Danuma, a vengeful scientist, resents Dr. Takagun's intellect and engages him in a battle using scientific weaponry, which results in Dr. Takagun and his wife's deaths. Their young son is raised by a caring robot left by his father. As he matures, the boy becomes a hero named "Z" who pursues justice. The story was serialized in Shounen Club from 1957 to 1958 and later published in a single volume by Kodansha in 1978.
