In the Edo era, Seijirou, heir to a renowned shop, is seen as a carefree playboy. However, he is secretly interested in Toshinoshin, a schoolteacher. Amid family expectations and an arranged meeting, Seijirou decides to confess his feelings to Toshinoshin. He is surprised to discover that Toshinoshin is not what he appears to be.
