In 1925 Japan, two 14-year-old high school students, Koume and Akiko, form a baseball team after being told by a male player that women should focus on becoming housewives rather than attending school. At a time when physical activity for women was often discouraged, baseball was seen as a male-dominated sport. The girls struggle to recruit teammates, gain parental approval, and learn the fundamentals of the game. They face societal resistance and traditional expectations while working to challenge the belief that baseball is not suitable for women.
