A 13-year-old apprentice doctor named Khang Zhipa lives in a mountain village in 18th-century Tibet. While gathering medicinal herbs, he returns to find a wedding party staying at his home for the night. The bride, Moshi Rati, is revealed to be his arranged bride from another region. The story follows their time together in a quiet, everyday setting.
