Zephyr is the final human warrior defending against evil in a world where the gods have abandoned humanity. After being defeated in battle by Tartarus, the god of destruction, it appears that all hope is lost. However, Zephyr is revived by the gods, who found his struggles amusing, and given another opportunity. He is sent back in time ten years to when he was a slave, not a powerful hero.
