Akira seeks revenge for his father's forced suicide and his mother's death by becoming the lover of the congressman responsible. After five years, he is chosen as a partner when the congressman is unavailable. His intentions are questioned by the congressman's private secretary, Hirose, who confronts him at a hotel. Planning to manipulate Hirose, Akira instead becomes emotional and is comforted by a kiss from Hirose, who witnesses his vulnerability.
