Ureta Hoshi

A family resides in an isolated region of Arabia, a place described as among the most barren on Earth. Decades earlier, the narrator’s grandfather experienced an encounter in a Canadian forest, where a woman-shaped deity delivered a warning. In response, the family relocated to this remote area, seeking refuge from a fate tied to the consequences of past actions—specifically, the draining of life from the planet by those who had planted the seeds long before.
