A massive disaster in Tokyo four years ago resulted in two million deaths, leaving thirteen districts sealed off as the Tokyo Barricade Zone. Morisaki Harumi, a strong but unruly teenager, is the only member of his family to survive the event. After being involved in a traffic accident, Harumi is drawn into a violent situation where he encounters Mana, a girl who has transformed herself into an ancient sword.
