Hoshino Yuuda has been independent since childhood, learning to take care of himself without help. When Saitou Yukihito expresses a desire to die for him, Hoshino finds the idea unreasonable. Still, he sees potential in using Saitou to his advantage and suggests they begin as friends. As their relationship develops, the nature of Saitou's growing interest remains uncertain.
