In an alternate 2023, a smart thread technology originally designed to combat a viral encephalitis outbreak has become widely used. Dubbed Your Forma, the devices record all sensory and emotional experiences of their users. Echika Hieda, an electronic investigator, uses these recordings to solve complex crimes. Her skill often outpaces her assistants, leading to several hospitalizations. To address this, she is assigned a new partner, Harold Lucraft, an intelligent and witty android. The two must overcome their distrust and work together to prevent a dangerous technological threat from spreading globally.
