In a far-off future, humans trigger the emergency stop system known as "Z" during a conflict with mechanical life forms, causing a massive energy clash that leads to a planetary disaster. A millennium later, a boy marked with the letter "Z" on his chest emerges from a stone pillar after hearing a girl calling for assistance.
