Chocchan Monogatari

This film is based on the real-life story of Cho Kuroyanagi, the mother of actress Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. It begins in pre-World War 2 Japan, where she marries a violinist despite family opposition. The couple faces financial hardship but remains content, raising three children and maintaining a positive outlook. Their happiness is challenged when war erupts and the husband is sent to the front.
